SMX-5 STEREO MICROPHONE INSTRUCTION MANUAL
TWO-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
AZDEN CORPORATION warrants to the first consumer purchaser that the Microphone purchased is free from defects in material and
workmanship. AZDEN’s sole obligation under this warranty shall be to provide, without charge, repair or replacement (at AZDEN s sole’
discretion), within two years from the date of purchase.
This warranty is the sole and exclusive ex product and all other express warranties are hereby press warranty given with respect to the
excluded. Neither AZDEN nor the dealer who sells the product is responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
This warranty does not extend to any defect, malfunction, or failure caused by misuse, abuse, accident, or defective associated
equipment for which it was not intended. Please read any instructions carefully.
This warranty is valid only when the Microphones is returned directly to AZDEN at the address below, freight prepaid, together with proof
of date of purchase.

Thank you for purchasing the Azden SMX-5 Electret Condenser Stereo Microphone.
Before using the product, please read this operang manual thoroughly. Keep this
manual along with the warranty card for future reference.
WARNING
Do not use other baeries than the one specied in this manual.
When installing baery, make sure baery polarity is correct as marked inside
the baery compartment.
Remove the baery if the product is not used for a long period of me.
BATTERY
(1) Remove the battery compartment lid by sliding it away from the case.
(2) Insert one fresh alkaline "AAA" battery into the compartment. Make sure the
battery polarity is correct as marked inside the battery compartment.
POWER SWITCH
The SMX-5 has a 2-posion power switch.
OFF: Switch the microphone OFF when not in use to conserve baery life. Set the
switch to the OFF posion when using plug-in power from camera.
ON: Switch the microphone ON for operaon by baery power.
3.5mm STEREO OUTPUT MINI-PLUG
Insert the plug into the camera's "STEREO EXT. MIC" jack.
