Warning: If any special control devices are used with this xture, follow the instructions carefully to assure full

compliance with N.E.C. requirements. If there are any questions, contact a qualied electrical contractor.

**IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A CERTIFIED LICENSED ELECTRICIAN INSTALL THIS FIXTURE**

1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE

BOX / CIRCUIT BREAKER.

2. Remove all parts from carton, do not throw away any parts.

3. Remove mounting plate (A) from backplate (D) by unthreading backplate

screws (B).

4. Afx mounting plate (A) to “J BOX” with mounting screws (C). Make sure

your J BOX is rated to accommodate an item that weighs at least 50 lbs.

5. Lift backplate (D) to mounting plate (A) and pull wiring from J BOX through

center hole in mounting plate (A). Make proper electrical connections.

6. Attach ground xture wire (GREEN) to either the ground screw on mounting

plate (A) or to ground wire in wall outlet box (usually GREEN or COPPER in

color). If attaching to ground wire in outlet box, fasten together with a plastic

wire nut and tightly wrap with electrical tape. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE

OUTLET BOX IN YOUR HOME BE PROPERLY GROUNDED.

7. Connect the neutral (WHITE or RIBBED BLACK) xture wire to the neutral

(usually WHITE) wire from the outlet box. Fasten wires together with a plastic

wire nut (F) and tightly wrap connector with electrical tape.

8. Connect the hot (BLACK or SMOOTH BLACK) xture wire to the hot

(BLACK) wire from the outlet box. Fasten wires together with a plastic wire

nut (F) and tightly wrap connector with electrical tape.

9. Align holes in backplate (D) with holes in mounting plate (A). Thread

backplate screws (B) into holes in backplate (D) and mounting plate (A) to

secure xture to ceiling or wall.

10. Insert ve (5) Type A 60W max. silver tip light bulb (included) into sockets

(E). Do not touch bulb as oil from skin will reduce the performance of the bulb

and can cause it to burn out quickly. To prevent this, wrap bulb in cotton cloth

before handling.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

To clean, use a soft cloth only. DO NOT use any chemical or abrasive

cleaners.

Warning: This xture needs to be attached to a junction box that is rated for an item that weighs at least 50 lbs.
