Before operating the unit, please read this manual thoroughly and retain
it for future reference.

WARNING
Do not install or use in areas with oil smoke, steam, moisture, or dust.
Using the unit in environments other than those specified in the
Mounting Instructions may cause fire or electric shock.
Do not use with non-specified equipment.
Using the unit with non-specified equipment may cause the mounted
equipment to fall, leading to injury.
CAUTION
Take measures to prevent racks from falling or moving.
Tipping over or moving of the rack can cause serious injuries.
Make sure that the rack is installed securely and the installation strength
is sufficient.
Exercise caution when installing in an enclosed environment.
If you place the unit in a rack or monitor shelf, ensure that the ventilation
holes around the monitor are not obstructed by surrounding devices, as
this could raise the operating temperature and cause malfunction or
overheating. Ensure that there is a clearance of at least 4.4 cm

inches) above and below the unit and maintain sufficient space
around it, securing ventilation holes or installing ventilation fans if
necessary to keep the operating temperature between 0°C and 35°C
(32°F to 95°F).
Take measures to prevent falling or moving.
When attaching or detaching the monitor onto or from the rack, failure
to take measures against falling or moving could result in the monitor
tipping over or moving, leading to injuries.
Work carefully in a stable posture.
Furthermore, ensure that the rack is properly installed and secured with
sufficient strength.
Mount the rack in the specified method.
If you do not follow the method described in the rack’s operating
instructions, it may fall and cause injuries or damage.
Assemble and install with care.
When assembling with optional parts, work carefully to avoid cutting
your hands or fingers on the parts’ edges or corners.
It is recommended to wear protective gloves during work.

Monitors that can be used
BVM-HX1710/HX1710N
General
BVMK-M1710 is a mounting bracket specially designed for mounting the
BVM-HX1710/HX1710N Sony monitor directly on a 19-inch EIA standard
rack.
The mounting position of the monitor is adjustable according to the
used Protection Panel BVMK-P1710 (sold separately).
Refer to the Operating Instructions of the monitor in addition to this
manual.
Caution
• Use the BVMK-M1710 within the temperature range 0°C to 35°C (32°F to
95°F).
• Connect to earth from behind the rack.
• Be sure to confirm that the rack is stable. If not, the rack may fall after
you install the monitor.
• Be sure to hold the bottom of the monitor or the mounting bracket
when mounting them to the rack.
• Be careful not to catch your fingers between the monitor and rack.
• Some parts of the mounting bracket are sharp. Take care that your
fingers do not get hurt.

• Always verify that the unit is operating properly before use. SONY
WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING, BUT

ラックは転倒・移動防止の処置をする
ラックが転倒・移動すると大けがの原因となります。
ラックの設置状況、設置強度を十分にお確かめください。
密閉環境に設置する際は注意する
本機をラックやモニター棚に収納した際、上下及び周辺の機器に
よりモニター周辺の通風孔が妨げられ動作温度が上がり、故障や
発熱の原因となる可能性があります。本機の動作条件温度0℃
から35℃を保つように上下に4.4cm以上の隙間をあけ、また周
辺機器との隙間を十分にとり、通気孔の確保や通気ファンの設置
などの配慮をしてください。
転倒、移動防止の処置をする
モニターをラックに取り付け・取りはずしするときは、転倒・移
動防止の処置をしないと、倒れたり、動いたりして、けがの原因と
なることがあります。
安定した姿勢で注意深く作業してください。
また、ラックの設置状況、強度を充分にお確かめください。
指定された方法でラックマウントする
ラックの取扱説明書に記載された方法を守らないと、落下してけ
がや損害の原因となることがあります。
組み立て・取り付けは注意深く
オプションを使って組み立てる際には部品のかどやエッジで手
や指にけがをしないように注意深く作業してください。
作業の際には保護手袋を着用することをおすすめします。

使用できるモニター
BVM-HX1710/HX1710N
概要
BVMK-M1710は、ソニーのモニター BVM-HX1710/HX1710NをEIA規格の19インチ
標準ラックに取り付けるためのマウントブラケットです。
プロテクションパネルBVMK-P1710（別売）の使用などにあわせてモニターの取り
付け位置を調整できます。
モニターの取扱説明書もあわせてご覧ください。
ご注意
•使用環境温度0℃〜 35℃の範囲でご使用ください。
•ラックの後ろから、アースを接地してください。
•取り付けの際は、ラック自体が確実に固定されていることを確認してください。
ラックが固定されていないと、モニターを取り付けたあとで転倒するおそれがあ
ります。
•モニターをラック(本体)に取り付けるときは、必ずモニター本体または、マウント
ブラケットの底面を持ってください。
•モニターとラックの間に指をはさまないように気をつけてください。

取付説明書（一式）

モニターからハンドル（ネジ2本）を取り外す。ハンドルを固定していたネジは
本体に取り付ける。
モニター本体を天面を下にして柔らかい布の上に置く。モニターからFOOT
（4個）を取り外す。
取り外したFOOTおよびネジは使用しません。

ブラケットをモニターに取り付ける。
ネジ10本（左右各5本）を使用し、ブラケットをモニターに取り付ける。
ブラケットの取り付け位置は2パターン選ぶことができます。
B-1 プロテクションパネルの取り付けが必要な場合
B-2 プロテクションパネルの取り付けが不要な場合（プロテクションパネルの
取り付けに影響が出る場合があります。）

ネジ８本でラックに取り付ける。
ご注意
• ラックに取り付けるネジは付属されていません。ラックに応じたネジをご用意
ください。
• ラックマウントブラケットは左右別形状の部品です。
•
ラックマウント時にプロテクションパネルBVMK-P1710（別売）を使用する場合、
ブラケットの取り付け位置を事前に確認してください。

Mounting Instructions (1 set)
1 Remove the handle (two screws) from the monitor. Attach the
removed screws to the monitor.
Turn the monitor upside down and place it onto a soft cloth. Remove
the foot (four feet).
Removed feet and screws will not be used.
2 Attach the brackets to the monitor.
Use ten screws (five each for the left and right) and attach the
brackets to the monitor.
You can choose the bracket’s attaching position from the following
two methods.
B-1 When it is necessary to attach the protection panel
B-2 When it is not necessary to attach the protection panel (this may
affect attachment of the protection panel.)
3 Attach to the rack with eight screws.
Notes
• Screws used for attaching to the rack are not supplied. Obtain the
appropriate screws.
• Mounting brackets are parts with different shapes on the left and right
sides.
• When using the Protection Panel BVMK-P1710 (sold separately) with the
monitor mounted to the rack, confirm the mount position on the
monitor before fixing.
