Thank you for purchasing a Taylor® Digital Thermometer. Please read this instruction manual carefully
before use. Keep these instructions handy for future reference.
FIRST USE AND BATTERY INFORMATION
1. Some models have a static cling label on the lens to prevent scratching. Please remove before use.
2. The thermometer operates on one CR1225 3 Volt lithium battery (included). To install the battery:
• Open the battery compartment by turning the cover on the back of the thermometer counterclockwise,
using a coin in the slot. Be sure the arrow on the battery door points to the open lock symbol. Remove
battery door.
• Insert the battery with the “+” sign facing up.
• Replace the battery door so that the arrow points to the open lock symbol. Then use a coin to turn
the battery door so the arrow points to the closed lock symbol. Note: If the battery door is not closed
properly, water can get into the battery compartment causing the unit to malfunction.
• Change the battery when the display becomes dim.
NOTE: Electrostatic interference may affect first use of the thermometer. If the thermometer does not
initially work, remove the battery and reinstall it.
NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.
WARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children handle
batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
PRECAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the battery if
the unit will not be used for a long period of time.
FUNCTIONS
1. Press ON/OFF to turn the unit on. Press and hold ON/OFF to turn the unit off. (Auto-off feature: The
unit will turn off to conserve battery power after 5 minutes of non-use or if there is no change in
temperature and the temperature reading is lower than 122°F (50°C)).
2. Press °F/°C to switch between Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature readings.
3. Hold Function: The HOLD function “freezes” the current temperature reading on the display so the
thermometer can be removed from the food and still show the reading. Press HOLD/ to hold the ▼
temperature display (“HOLD” will appear). Press again to release.
4. Min/Max Function: Press MAX/ to get the highest (maximum) temperature reading. (“MAX” will appear.) ▲
Press again to get the lowest (minimum) temperature reading. (“MIN” will appear.) Press again to release.
To clear the max/min memory, remove the battery for 1 minute and then replace it.
5. Recalibration Function: Press and hold SET (“SET” will appear). Then press MAX/ and HOLD/ at the ▲ ▼
same time. The temperature display blinks. Suspend probe at least 1” into a ‘slush’ of crushed ice
and water (32°F / 0°C) for at least 30 seconds. Press MAX/ or HOLD/ to set the calibration back to ▲ ▼
32ºF/0ºC. Press and hold SET to confirm calibration (“---” and “OK” will appear). Calibration is complete.
NOTE: If no buttons are pressed for 30 seconds, the unit will automatically return to normal mode. To
restore the default calibration temperature, remove the battery for 1 minute and replace it.

INFORMATION SUR LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION ET LA PILE
1. Certains modèles ont une étiquette à collement électrostatique sur la lentille pour éviter tout égratignement.
Veuillez la retirer avant d’utiliser.
2. Le thermomètre fonctionne avec 1 pile de 3 volts au lithium CR1225 (incluse). Pour installer la pile:
• Ouvrez le compartiment de pile en tournant le couvercle de la porte du compartiment de pile à l’arrière du
thermomètre dans le sens antihoraire à l’aide d’une pièce de monnaie dans la fente. Assurez-vous que la
flèche sur le couvercle de pile pointe vers le symbole du cadenas ouvert. Retirez le couvercle de pile.
• Insérez la pile avec le signe «+» vers le haut.
• Replacez le couvercle de pile pour que la flèche pointe vers le symbole du verrou ouvert.
Utilisez ensuite une pièce de monnaie pour tourner le couvercle de pile pour que la flèche pointe vers le
symbole de verrou fermé. Remarque: Si la porte de piles n’est pas fermée correctement, l’eau pourrait
pénétrer dans le compartiment et l’appareil fonctionnerait mal.
• Changez la pile lorsque l’affichage faiblit.
REMARQUE: L’interférence électrostatique peut affecter la première utilisation du thermomètre. Si le
thermomètre ne fonctionne pas la première fois, retirez la pile et réinstallez-la.
REMARQUE: Veuillez recycler ou jetez piles conformément à réglementations locales.
AVERTISSEMENT: Les piles peuvent poser un risque d’obstruction. Comme avec tous les petits objets, ne
laissez pas les enfants manipuler les piles. En cas d’ingestion, consulter immédiatement un médecin.
ATTENTION: Ne jetez pas les piles usées dans le feu afin d’éviter tout risque d’explosion ou de fuite. Veillez à
retirer la pile de l’appareil si vous envisagez de ne pas l’utiliser pour une période prolongée.
FONCTIONS
1. Appuyez sur ON/OFF (marche/arrêt) pour mettre l’appareil en marche. Appuyez et tenez enfoncé ON/OFF pour
éteindre l’appareil. (Fonction d’arrêt automatique: L’appareil s’éteindra automatiquement pour conserver la
pile après 5 minutes si aucun bouton n’est enfoncé et le relevé de température est moins élevée que 50°C
(122°F)).
2. Appuyez sur °F/°C pour passer des échelles de températures °F et °C.
3. Fonction de retenue: La fonction de retenue «fige» le relevé de température actuelle pour que le thermomètre
peut être retiré de l’aliment et le relevé continuera à afficher. Appuyez sur HOLD/ pour retenue l’affichage ▼
de température («HOLD» apparaîtra). Appuyez à nouveau pour dégager.
4. Fonction de Max/Min: Appuyez sur MAX/ pour obtenir la température plus haute (maximum). («MAX» ▲
apparaîtra). Appuyez à nouveau pour obtenir la température plus basse (minimum). («MIN» apparaîtra).
Appuyez à nouveau pour dégager. Pour effacer la mémoire max/min, retirez la pile pendant 1 minute et
réinstallez-la.
5. Fonction de recalibrage: Appuyez et tenez enfoncé SET (régler). («SET» apparaîtra.) Puis appuyez sur MAX/ ▲
et HOLD/ en même temps. L’affichage de température clignote. Suspendez la sonde à au moins 1 po (2,54 ▼
cm) dans une « barbotine » de glace concassée et d’eau (32°F/0°C) pendant au moins 30 secondes. Appuyez
sur MAX/ ou HOLD/ pour régler la calibration à 32°F/0°C. Appuyez et tenez enfoncé SET pour confirmer la ▲ ▼
calibration («---» et «OK» apparaîtra). La calibration est terminée.
REMARQUE: Si aucun bouton n’est enfoncé pendant 30 secondes, l’appareil reviendra au mode normal
automatiquement. Pour remettre la température de calibrage par défaut, retirez la pile pendant 1 minute,
puis remplacez-la.

INFORMACIÓN DEL PRIMER USO Y LA BATERÍA
1. Algunos modelos tienen una etiqueta de adherencia por estática en el lente para evitar rayaduras. Sírvase

2. El termómetro funciona con una batería de litio CR1225 de 3 voltios (incluida). Para instalar la batería:

la batería en la parte trasera del termómetro, usando una moneda en la ranura. Asegúrese de que la flecha

FUNCIONES

4. Función de Máx / Mín: Presione MAX/ para obtener la temperatura más alta (máxima). (“MAX” aparecerá). ▲
Presione nuevamente para obtener la temperatura más baja (mínimo). (“MIN” aparecerá). Presiónelo
nuevamente para volver a medir. Para borrar la memoria máx/min, quite la batería para 1 minuto y
reinstálela.
5. Función de recalibración: Presione y mantenga presionado SET (configurar). (“SET” aparecerá.) Entonces
presione MAX/ y HOLD/ al mismo tiempo. La pantalla de temperatura parpadea. Suspenda la sonda ▲ ▼
al menos 1” (2,5 cm) en una mezcla de hielo y agua (32°F/ 0°C) durante al menos 30 segundos. Presione
MAX/ o HOLD/ para ajustar la calibración a 32°F/ 0°C. Presione y mantenga presionado SET para ▲ ▼
confirmar la calibración (“---” y “OK” aparecerá). Calibración es finalizado.
NOTA: Si no presiona ningún botón durante 30 segundos, la unidad la unidad regresa a modo normal
automáticamente. Para restablecer la temperatura de calibración predeterminada, quite la batería durante
1 minuto y después póngala de nuevo.
