TheLP8758isdesignedtomeetthepower

managementrequirementsofthelatestapplication

processorsinmobilephonesandsimilarportable

applications.Thedevicecontainsfourstep-down

DC/DCconvertercores,whicharebundledtogether

inasingle4-phasebuckconverter.Thedeviceis

controlledbyanI

C-compatibleserialinterface.

TheautomaticPWM-PFM(AUTOmode)operation,

togetherwiththeautomaticphaseadding/shedding,

maximizesefficiencyoverawideoutput-current

range.TheLP8758supportsremotedifferential

voltagesensingtocompensateIRdropbetweenthe

regulatoroutputandthepoint-of-load,thusimproving

theaccuracyoftheoutputvoltage.

TheLP8758supportsprogrammablestart-upand

shutdowndelayssynchronizedtoEnablesignal.

Theprotectionfeaturesincludeshort-circuit

protection,currentlimits,inputsupplyUVLO,and

temperaturewarningandshutdownfunctions.

Severalerrorflagsareprovidedforstatusinformation

ofthedevice.Inaddition,theLP8758devicesupports

loadcurrentmeasurementwithouttheadditionof

externalcurrentsenseresistors.Duringstart-upand

voltagechange,thedevicecontrolstheoutputslew

ratetominimizeoutputvoltageovershootandthe

inrushcurrent.
