• 50 Sliding rods (1-cm to 10-cm in length, each in 5 colors)

• Used to develop skills in counting, sorting, sequencing, pa˜ ern

recognition, measuring, addition, and subtraction

HOW TO USE THE NUMBER TRACK

1. Sorting lessons

A. Sort rods into separate groups according to their colors.

B. Sort rods into separate groups according to their lengths (values).

C. Sort rods of even values into one group and rods of odd values into

another.

2. Counting lessons

Learn the relationship between quantities and numbers by counting

the number of squares in the rods and matching them to the numbers

printed on the track.

3. Sequencing lessons

Determine the nth term of a sequence.
