1. Introducon

IRISPen Air

7 is a Smart wireless pen scanner that allows you to scan lines of text to the IRISPen

app on your Android device. In the app the scans can be edited, translated, read out loud and shared

through your favorite Cloud accounts.

Thanks to I.R.I.S.' OCR technology (Opcal Character Recognion) IRISPen Air

7 recognizes 130

languages in Online mode. When using the IRISPen

in Oine mode, 45 languages are supported.

You can also have the applicaon automacally translate the scanned text and read it out loud.

Note that with IRISPen Air

7 you scan one line at a me.

Before you begin:

Charge the IRISPen

for 5 hours. To do so, plug it into a computer using the provided USB cable and

power on the computer, or plug the IRISPen

into a power outlet. The green baery led blinks slowly

when the baery is being charged. When the baery led stays on, the baery is fully charged.

Note: charging the IRISPen

by connecng it to a USB port on your Android device (should it

have one) is not supported.

Note : the baery life in usage is about 4 hours. When the baery is almost dead, the battery

led starts blinking fast. The recharge me is about 2.5 hours. Note that the baery status is

also indicated within the IRISPen

app.

2. Installaon of the IRISPen

app

Important: to install the IRISPen

app you need a wireless Internet connecon.

 Open the Play Store on your Android device.

 Search for the IRISPen Air

7 app and install it.

 To do so follow the on-screen instrucons.

 Once the app has been installed, tap . Open

 Press the scanning p for 3 seconds to power on the pen, as shown in the IRISPen

app.

The blue Bluetooth led on the pen starts to blink slowly.

 Tap . Start

If Bluetooth is not enabled on your device, a message appears that "An app wants to

turn on Bluetooth". Select . Allow

 Tap Select scanner.

When the Bluetooth connecon has been established the blue led stays on. A message

appears that the scanner is successfully connected.

Note that connecon may take some me.

In case the IRISPen

is connected but you don't see it on your device, make sure it is

not connected to another device nearby. See the Troubleshoong secon if necessary.

Note: next me you just need to open the app and power on the IRISPen
