FOX3 SR 321 FOX3 SR 331 FOX3 SR 211
This guide provides quick start instructions for an experienced installer to set up and operate the Extron FOX3 SR 321, FOX3 SR 331, and
FOX3 SR 211 Fiber Optic scaling receivers. The FOX3 SR 321, FOX3 SR 331, and FOX3 SR 211 can scale resolutions up to 4K @ 60Hz,
4:4:4 video, 2-channel audio, RS-232, and IR over ber. The FOX3 SR 321, FOX3 SR 331 can additionally send USB over ber.
WARNING: The FOX3 SR 321, FOX3 SR 331, and FOX3 SR 211 output continuous invisible light (Class 1 rated), which may be
harmful to the eyes; use with caution. Plug the attached dust caps into the optical transceivers when the ber cable is unplugged.

Turn o or disconnect all equipment power sources and mount the receiver as required. For mounting details and considerations, see the
FOX3 SR 321, FOX3 SR 331, and FOX3 SR 211 User Guide at www.extron.com.

Step 2 — Input and Output Connections
a. Connect a DisplayPort display to the DisplayPort output (see figure 1,
F
).
NOTES:
• The FOX3 SR 321, FOX3 SR 331, and FOX3 SR 211 do not support HDCP-compliant devices.
• The FOX3 SR 321, FOX3 SR 331, and FOX3 SR 211 do not support Dual-Mode DP++.

b. Connect an audio output device to the AUDIO 5-pole captive screw port (see figure 1,
D
on page 1) (see figure 2 to wire the captive
screw connector).
c. For optional returned audio (
C
), connect an audio input device to the AUDIO RETURN 5-pole captive screw port (see gure2 on
page 2 to wire the captive screw connector).
ATTENTION:
• For unbalanced audio, connect the sleeves to the
ground contact. DO NOT connect the sleeves to
the negative (–) contacts.
• Pour l’audio asymétrique, connectez les
manchons au contact au sol. Ne PAS connecter
les manchons aux contacts négatifs (–).

d. Connect peripheral devices to the USB ports (see figure 3) .
NOTES:
• The FOX3 matrix switches the USB HID and USB 2.0 inputs and outputs independently of the video and each USB
connection.
• The USB 2.0 port is only available on the FOX3 SR 321 device.
• The USB HID ports are only available on the FOX3 SR 321 and FOX3 SR 331 devices.
• The USB HID ports are used only for a mouse or keyboard.
• The USB 2.0 ports are used for thumb drives, cameras, keyboards, a mouse, CAC reader, and such devices.
